Say goodbye to the last days of July and the first part of the summer at the Poreč Open Air Festival. The program of this charming street festival includes concerts by top musicians on stages in the beautiful ambience of the sun setting over Villa Polesini or on the lawn along the Poreč Lungomare, movies for all ages in the open-air cinema, performances by street performers, and other entertainment.
The summer cinema is always a good choice. Tonight, on July 25, the little ones will be able to watch the animated hit film Finding Dory in the garden of Villa Polesini, and tomorrow, at the same time on the meadow along the Lungomare promenade, the older folks will get to enjoy Guy Ritchie’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The film program continues on Friday and Saturday with Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and another animated hit film The Good Dinosaur. The admission to the movie screenings is free and the movie magic begins as soon as it gets dark at about 9 pm.
But the entertainment highlight, at least as far as music is concerned, will be on Friday. At 8:30 pm, the Beatles Tribute Band will take to the summer stage on the Poreč waterfront and everyone will be able to dance to some of the hit songs by the Liverpool cult heroes. Those who cannot make it to the concert on Friday can enter the music time machine and go back to the crazy ‘60s a day earlier, on Thursday, when the Beatles Tribute Band performs at the Piazza in the Lanterna Premium Camping Resort as part of the Lanterna Summer Nights Festival.
